2024 Winter Newsletter
North Texas Giving Day
This year, we are proud to announce that we broke our own record, raising $4,500 for our North Texas schools! Our instructors worked tirelessly to campaign for their classrooms, and their efforts paid off.
To sweeten the deal, the school that raised the most funds won a Raising Cane’s party, courtesy of our proud sponsor, Raising Cane’s. Congratulations to Mr. Colton Hood from Perry Middle School, whose school raised the most funds! The runner-up was Ms. Kristin Dupaquier from De Zavala Middle School, whose classroom enjoyed a special Donuts Day as a reward for their incredible efforts.

2024 Houston Gives
Kickstart Kids proudly participated in the Houston Chronicle’s Houston Gives $1 Million Charity Ad Giveaway, an initiative critical to furthering our mission. From September 29th to October 13th, we rallied our supporters, staff, and students to vote daily.
With grit, determination, and even a special shoutout from our founder, Chuck Norris, Kickstart Kids secured $76,000 in free advertising and claimed 1st place among Houston-area nonprofits! Thank you to everyone who voted and helped make this achievement possible.
Winter Belt Ceremonies
Belt Ceremony season is a pivotal moment in every martial artist’s journey. This year, all 58 of our Texas schools hosted successful ceremonies filled with cheers, hugs, inspirational testimonials, and jaw-dropping demo performances that left audiences in awe.
One ceremony was particularly special—the announcement of our Sponsorship Drive Art Contest winner! Congratulations to Ms. Galilea Zepeda from Stafford Middle School for her winning design, which will become the official artwork for our 2025 Sponsorship Drive. This year’s theme, “Year of the Snake,” inspired students to showcase their creativity and talent, and Ms. Zepeda’s design truly stood out.
