Chuck Norris Congratulates Students at Winter Belt Ceremonies
KICKSTART KIDS founder, martial artist, actor, and humanitarian Chuck Norris, along with his wife Gena Norris, visited multiple Houston ISD schools at recent Winter Belt Ceremonies.
On December 11th, Mr. and Mrs. Norris visited Albert Thomas Middle School in Houston to congratulate students on their new belt ranks and thank campus staff and administration along with KICKSTART KIDS instructors, Charles Nubin and Derrick Wilson, for their efforts in bringing the program to Thomas Middle School. Students gave testimonials of their experience with the program and demonstrated their new skills as they received their gold belts. The program at Thomas started at the beginning of this year and is already making a big impact on the campus.
The following evening, Mr. and Mrs. Norris visited Paul Revere Middle School’s Belt Ceremony to meet with HISD administration and staff along with many supporters of the KICKSTART KIDS organization as they celebrated the launch of this model school sponsored by Phillips 66.
Paul Revere students gave testimonials, showcased their newly acquired skills, and received their new gold belts from, their instructor, Brandon McRae. The Southeast Texas All-Star Demo Team also performed for guests and Mr. Norris spoke to the crowd to show his appreciation for the continued support of parents, school staff, administration, instructors, and all supporters of the KICKSTART KIDS organization.
