Kickstart Kids at Navasota ISD Education Foundation Annual Banquet
The Navasota ISD Education Foundation dinner hosted its Annual Fundraiser Dinner on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Grimes County Expo Center. The Navasota Junior High Kickstart Kids Black Belt team began the evening with a performance to the Star Spangled Banner. The dinner featured guest speaker and long-time Kickstart Kids supporter, Jim "Mattress Mac" McIngvale. "Mattress Mac" spoke on the importance of giving back to the community. When his speech concluded, the Education Foundation stated that "Mattress Mac" asked that his speaking fee be given to an organization of their choosing, and they chose the Navasota Kickstart Kids program due to his long support of the mission of Chuck and Gena Norris' Kickstart Kids.
