Kickstart Kids UFAF 2017

Kickstart Kids students and instructors traveled to Las Vegas on July 12 to attend the week long UFAF (United Fighting Arts Federation™) International Training Conference and World Championships. (UFAF) is a worldwide martial arts membership organization founded by Kickstart Kids founder, Chuck Norris.

Almost all Kickstart Kids students placed in their divisions and many came home as world champions. The stand out student of the trip was Jensi Campos; who dominated in kata and sparring. Jensi also won the coveted Norris Cup (age 15 – 17 Grand Champion)!

In the adult division, Kickstart Kids instructors excelled as well.

“These instructors not only took care of their students but they also took care of business and business was good!” reported Southeast Texas Assistant Regional Director, Derrick Stinson, who was in attendance at the event.

Mr. Roy White, Burbank Middle School instructor, owned the 40+ divisions and raised the Norris Cup (Senior Kata Grand Champion).

Mr. Rigo Cardenas, Hogg Middle School instructor, was the man to beat this year in sparring and he stood the test of time, winning the Norris Cup in Adult Men’s Sparring!

Congratulations to all of the awesome competitors at this year’s event and we look forward to next year.
